Queen City Hose Co #8 officially celebrated the commencement of a new era in which it hopes will be many years of safe, effective protection for the community. The new Crimson pumper was officially blessed and dedicated for use.

As the temperature rose well into the 80's and the humidity made itself the topic of the day, Vice President and Toastmaster Gene Turko headed up the ceremony.
Msgr Stephen Hrynuck  provided the invocation and blessing of the apparatus.
PA State Representative Edward Staback provided words of praise, encouragement and thanks to the members of the hose company and also to the community for their continued support.

Afterwards, all in attendance enjoyed pizza, whimpies hot dogs and COLD refreshments.
